I was able to export objects to AutoCAD objects to Google Earth effortlessly and then create a kmz to send to my client with the objects nicely overlaid. I’m very pleased with this app and have purchased a permanent license. The license activation could be made a little bit smoother, but the functionality deserves all 5 stars. Tried to import a google image; the dialogue is fairly simple to understand, but after going through the steps, I got a picture with a blue background with “evaluation copy” written all over it. I get the watermark, since it is a trial, but both times I tried it making sure I had the right coordinate system, the background was always blue, which makes me believe I hit water both times, instead of where I was supposed to be.

First time I installed this, it didn’t work to make solid objects, it did automatically surfaces that I couldn’t edit. I reinstalled it and than it works.
It is a little finicky, but by doing a solid extrude and then importing a mesh over and then making the mesh a solid, I was able to use the combine feature to make a cut requires two solids.
If you aren’t getting the option when right clicking, make sure that you are right clicking on the mesh object under the mesh tree.
Also, as others have said make sure to enable the add-on. It isn’t automatic. This tool is especially helpful when i need to modify. I used this tool in and was able to multi-select mesh surfaces to convert it worked very well. But now in the ability to multi-select meshes is not available. I can only select 1 mesh at a time, process, then select again etc. I’d give 5 stars if I could multi-select again. You should post over in the Inventor forum and include the file. Good god this addin really is a must have for work with shape generation. Can’t believe it isn’t standard with inventor. Iv’e downloaded the application. Mesh Enabler was THE promise. Thx and best regards. I suddenly had a problem with this add-in and just had to re-inable it on the tool menu. It works great as long as you have it running. Install the add-in on a working student edition of inventor , but after installing add-in inventor crashes either during splash screen or after splash screen but before home page opens.

As luck would have in I need this urgently to create a Shrinkwrapped part of some Catia files which at the moment are only meshes. This is exactly what I’ve been needing! Saved me a few times, and couldn’t be simpler! The only thing I guess I could ask for would be tools to automatically reduce the mesh size within the tool – but there are plenty of other programs for that try Meshmixer!
This works very well! The only problem is that I cannot figure out how to import designs that were exported as mm. They import as inches and show up very large. You may have solved this already but just in case: When you are importing the model you can click on options and a window will appear. Here you can select the units, by default they should be set to “Template Units” and here you could change it to whatever unit you need.

I opened a customer model and it looked correct until I made a measurement and it was 12″ the real measurement was 0. The customer exported in mm and I imported in inch. So it sees the 12 as the value and the import doesn’t know or care what it is but as soon as I changed my import option to mm the. Once the. How did you change the option to import in mm? Evan, What I did is when you go to open your. That should do it. Keep in mind I believe it keeps as a default when you change that and you may have to go back and return it to whatever units you normally save in.

You walk through your project like in a videogame. The lighting is impressive and all of my projects worked from scratch. It just seems that most of the materials look too “metallic” or glossy, but it’s easily tweaked. I love the water and glass rendering.
Unfortunately, there are still no trees – hope for that soon. Its performance wise very demanding, but I like the instant feedback. I love 3d renderings but I kinda hesitate to wait a few minutes for it or pay for cloud power. Thumbs up! As you correctly cited, the full linked projects support for bigger project files will be ready in the next release, starting in the mid of April. We completely redesigned the material system in the meantime. It outputs very nice renderings, almost raytrace quality but faster.

Enscape is a quick addon to learn, and has great results! The ability to walk through your project and see changes you make is a great help. The only things I would like to see in the future would be a better system for doors so you don’t simply clip through them, and a more intuitive way to edit the camera timing when recording a walk/fly through. The Mesh Enabler application converts mesh features to solid base features or surface features. This function can be applied to individual or multi-selected mesh features or mesh feature folders. After installing Mesh Enabler, right click on one or more imported mesh features of interest, and convert them into Base features solids, surfaces, or composites through a new context menu command.

There is a missing step in the instructions that you need for and probably the others. Make sure to pull up the “add in” option under the tools tab They really should document that! First time I installed this, it didn’t work to make solid objects, it did automatically surfaces that I couldn’t edit.
I reinstalled it and than it works. It is a little finicky, but by doing a solid extrude and then importing a mesh over and then making the mesh a solid, I was able to use the combine feature to make a cut requires two solids.
If you aren’t getting the option when right clicking, make sure that you are right clicking on the mesh object under the mesh tree. Also, as others have said make sure to enable the add-on. It isn’t automatic. This tool is especially helpful when i need to modify.

Please correct the file on the database, or correct listing if you don’t have the latest release yet. I used this tool in and was able to multi-select mesh surfaces to convert it worked very well.
But now in the ability to multi-select meshes is not available. I can only select 1 mesh at a time, process, then select again etc. I’d give 5 stars if I could multi-select again. Mesh enabler 1. Same problem for me! Inventor with Windows 10 and newest MeshEnabler version. Hopefully there’s going to be a fix. I use Revit for most of my school design projects. Sometimes, I would spend hours”Rendering in the Cloud” trying to get the lighting correct. A student that graduated a couple of years ago recommended Enscape. I downloaded the software and was on my way to creating amazing professional quality images of my projects.
Initially, I didn’t want to learn another program. I’m a student and don’t have time. Enscape was fairly easy to figure out. I highly recommend Enscape, you will never look back! The library is the best in this world, and the sofware is so friendly. I had to make two documents, one for renders and another one for plans. Enscape is a quick addon to learn, and has great results! The ability to walk through your project and see changes you make is a great help.
Overall a great addon that I see as a massive game changer! Enscape is easy to learn and use. It can be run easily even on a laptop for real-time and animation. You don’t need a super good and new PC to use it. The quality of rendering is really high, good lighting, good material representation and changes to the BIM Model update in Enscape window. Enscape is fantastic! Its so easy to use, is quick to render and the results are great. And as a student, enscape staff have been extremely helpful!!

Great option for easy rendering in real time, video and photos. Very easy to uso and for a better render quality just need to make small adjustments. Enscape allows me to do live walkthroughs, render stills and render video footage in a jiffy.
I think it is the best solution for individuals who are time constrained. I am in 3rd Year Architectural Technology program, and I simply will not have time to leave pc to render overnight as is the case with numerous rendering softwares, with Enscape I can do and complete the whole rendering thing in a single session. Enscape is simply an Indispensable product! Plus VR :. Is a good software for real time-rendering, is not expensive and the results are very spectacular. Plus, you can use the holo lens, oculus or something to get a inmersive look in the project.
I am an educator, and I use this within my Revit classes. The rendering capabilities are awesome, and it works really well with our Oculus VR headsets.
Love Enscape– it is very easy to use, and the quality is great. It is really helping my students to stand out! I use escape very often.. I recommend enscape to all designers, having an instant render program can be useful in various ways!

I’ve downloaded the latest CAD-Earth v5. The image registration issues have been corrected and now I can work with Google Earth Pro 32 and bit versions. Installation is simplified and is no longer necessary to restart my computer after installation. The support ticket system is working and I can chat with technical support at their website. Very badly integrated with autocad when you start the toolbar this is what it is , it opend autocad once again, doubling up the RAM usage.

I have tired virtually all of the functions, importing from Google Earth and exporting to Google Earth and have found them to work exactly as expected. Watching the app access Google Earth, import an image and then trim the image to my boundary polyline automatically is nice.
I was able to export objects to AutoCAD objects to Google Earth effortlessly and then create a kmz to send to my client with the objects nicely overlaid.
I’m very pleased with this app and have purchased a permanent license. The license activation could be made a little bit smoother, but the functionality deserves all 5 stars.
Also full marks for tech support as I received a timely answer to a question that I submitted.
